A 59-year-old taxi driver was kidnapped, robbed, and stripped of his vehicle during a late-night hire in Arima on Wednesday.
The victim told police he was plying his white Nissan Y11 AD Wagon for hire around 10p.m. when a man and woman boarded his taxi on Hollis Avenue, requesting a trip to Malabar.
On reaching Devenish Street, the male passenger, seated behind the driver, placed a knife at his neck and ordered him to drive onto Cocorite Road. The suspects then forced him along Blanchisseuse Road, where he was ordered out of the car.
