T&T abstains in ICC vote
Trinidad and Tobago abstained on a UN vote supporting the International Criminal Court, breaking with its long-standing backing of the tribunal and drawing sharp criticism from former foreign minister Dr Amery Browne. The move follows last week’s vote with the United States on Cuba and puts T&T at odds with several Caricom states, raising questions about a shift in foreign policy.
