US Embassy Donates More Than $1 Million In Disaster Relief Equipment to TEMA
The US Embassy donated more than $1 million in warehouse management equipment to the Tobago Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) to strengthen disaster response across Tobago. The support includes systems, security, and handling equipment, following earlier training for 15 TEMA staff. Officials said the upgrade will improve relief storage, tracking, and local resilience.

Gopeesingh says 4-hour shift claim 'false and misleading'
The Trinidad and Tobago National Nursing Association says the North Central Regional Health Authority has imposed four-hour shifts on nursing and midwifery staff without consultation, calling the move illegal and unsafe amid a severe staffing shortage. NCRHA chairman Dr Tim Gopeesingh dismissed the claims as false and misleading, while the association says it is considering legal action.
