Police are investigating a violent robbery and kidnapping in San Fernando on Tuesday morning.
Around 9:23 a.m. the 72-year-old taxi driver of Siparia was picking up passengers at the corner of Mucarapo and Lord Street when two men boarded his vehicle, a white Nissan Tiida, requesting a ride to Broadway.
One suspect was armed the vehicle with a knife, while the second suspect placed the driver in a chokehold. The men forced the driver to stop near Circle Drive, Embacadere, tied his hands with rope, and stole his wallet containing $500 in cash, an RBC debit card, a GPS controller, and a Samsung A10 cellphone.
