A family in Palmiste was targeted in a violent home invasion in the early hours of Thursday.
Police reports state that around 3:15 a.m., the victims were preparing for work when a loud bang was heard from one of the bedrooms. Upon attempting to contact police, a shadow was seen through the front window, followed by several armed men dressed in dark clothing entering the home from the eastern front door.
The suspects, reportedly carrying cutlasses and firearms, tied up the occupants and ransacked the house while demanding cash. They stole an undisclosed sum of money and a black Toyota Altis before fleeing north along Caparo Valley Brasso Road. The victims sustained minor injuries and received treatment from paramedics.
