A couple was tied up, beaten and robbed during a violent home invasion in the Freeport area early Wednesday morning.
Police said the victims, a 37-year-old Customs Officer and his 34-year-old wife, a Quality Manager, were asleep at their home in Carapichaima when they were awakened around 3.30 a.m. by loud noises.
They were confronted by three masked men, all armed with firearms, who announced a robbery. The victims were tied up in their bedroom, and the male victim was beaten several times about the body with a crowbar.
