A late-night home invasion in Shirvan left a teenage student and a mechanic victimised by armed robbers who stole cash, electronics, and jewelry.
Police were told that at 11p.m. on Saturday, three masked men, described as slim and dark-skinned, entered a home on Sylvester Trace Extension. One of the men, armed with a gun, confronted the 15-year-old student, demanding her phone. She handed over a Samsung S24 valued at $4,500.
The robbers then forced the student to lead them to a 26-year-old mechanic in the house. Once inside his room, a man armed with a cutlass attacked the victim while the others ransacked the bedroom. The gang made off with a gold chain valued at $70,000, two gold rings worth $112,000, an iPhone 12 Pro Max worth $3,400, an iPhone 13 Pro Max worth $7,200 TT, a PlayStation 5 worth $5,500 TT, and $18,000 in cash.
