A serious road traffic accident along the Uriah Butler Highway in Chaguanas early Friday morning left two members of the Trinidad and Tobago Regiment (TTR) injured, one critically.

Around 3:45 a.m., a 60-year-old Carenage man was driving north near the Caroni Overpass when he reportedly encountered a stalled silver Honda CRV, with no lights in the middle lane.

In an attempt to avoid a collision, Campbell swerved right and struck Sgt. Anim Barker, a TTR officer. Moments later, another vehicle traveling in the same direction also swerved and struck Cpl Kern Cupidore.
