A 28-year-old soldier was shot dead when his vehicle came under gunfire and crashed into a church wall in Montrose, Chaguanas, on Saturday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Shevaughn Millet, a private in the Trinidad and Tobago Regiment (TTR) who was on suspension.
Police said first responders were dispatched shortly after 6.15 a.m. on Saturday to a report of a shooting along John Street, near the New Testament Church of God.
