HOMELAND Security Minister Roger Alexander said the kidnapping problem the country faces Âtoday stems from the former governmentâs failure to secure the nationâs Âborders.
The minister, when pressed, did not answer questions as to whether Venezuelans are involved in a kidnapping ring, but he assured that âgangsâ were being dismantled.
At yesterdayâs sitting of Parliament, Opposition MP Marvin Gonzales asked what the Government plans to do to counteract the recent surge in kidnappings.
