PRIME MINISTER Kamla Persad-Bissessar says she will not be surprised if President-appointed senators vote against the Zones of Special Operations (ZOSO) legislation today.
The Law Reform (Zones of Special Operations) (Special Security and Community Development Measures) Bill, 2026 was passed in the House of Representatives last Friday with the Government’s majority.
It will be debated in the Senate today, where the votes of at least four of the nine Independent senators are needed for its passage.
