Minister of Homeland Security Roger Alexander says he will not shirk his responsibility to fix the country’s crime problem, and maintained yesterday that murders stemming from gang warfare will be addressed.
“I give the public the assurance that what took place (yesterday), a number of persons who are responsible will be dealt with according to law,” he said, as he urged the public to provide the police with information on criminality in their areas.
The minister was responding to questions from the Express yesterday via phone after a triple murder in Belmont, which included the death of a two-year-old boy and sparked Opposition calls for Alexander’s removal.
