ALMOST one day after two men and a toddler was killed and the child’s mother injured, gunmen struck Belmont yesterday injuring a 16-year-old boy.
Police said that around 2.15 p.m. the boy of Waterman Lane, Belmont was standing near to the St Francois Valley Road, Housing Development Corporation apartments when a grey coloured Toyota Aqua stopped near him. Police said that one of its occupants opened fire hitting the teen. The car then sped off.
A relative of the boy took him to the Port of Spain General Hospital where he was treated and then placed on a ward.
