A seven-year-old child was among three people wounded in a shooting in Belmont on Monday night, after a gunman opened fire on a vehicle along St Andrew’s Lane.
Police said the victims, a 38-year-old man, a 34-year-old woman and a seven-year-old boy, were travelling in a white Nissan wagon around 9 p.m. when they came under attack from a lone assailant.
The gunman, described as a tall, dark-complexioned man, began shooting at the vehicle before fleeing on foot into a nearby street.
