A family of vendors at Jerningham, Chaguanas were bound and robbed during an armed burglary in the early hours on Monday.
Police reported that around 10p.m. on Sunday, the occupants secured their home on Endeavour Road before retiring for the night. Around 1:20 a.m., three armed suspects broke in. Victims were beaten and relieved of cash, jewelry, and mobile phones.
Two suspects confronted younger members of the household, taking $200 and a cellular phone, while a third suspect bound the hands and feet of three victims with duct tape. Other family members were also attacked and robbed, losing phones valued up to $2,100 , earrings worth $1,500, and cash. Bank cards and personal identification, were also taken.
