An off-duty police officer chased down and helped capture a man who snatched her gold chain along Charlotte Street, Port of Spain, on Thursday evening.
Around 5:10 p.m. WPC Khandi Mathlin was walking along Charlotte Street near Yip’s Variety Store when a man approached and snatched a gold chain with a blue cross pendant valued at $2,200 from around her neck.
Police said the suspect ran off in a southerly direction.
