Police are investigating two separate incidents of larceny from the person in Port of Spain earlier this week.
The first occurred around 3:15 p.m. on Sunday, near Lotus Supermarket on Charlotte Street, where a woman walking reported that an unknown man grabbed her gold chain, valued at $5,000, and ran east along Queen Street. The suspect was described as dark-skinned, stocky, around 5 ft 6 in, with an afro hairstyle, wearing 3/4 pants and white slippers.
The second incident took place around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, at Independence Square near Frederick Street, when a man, slim built, with an unkempt hairstyle and carrying a side bag, snatched a gold chain valued at $3,000 from a woman buying pot holders. He escaped through Golden Doors, Port of Spain.
