AN 18-year-old man suspected of car jacking an elderly taxi driver was arrested by the police on Wednesday after officers discovered him hiding in bushes near the scene of the crime.

The suspect and an accomplice allegedly robbed the taxi driver of his vehicle, then crashed the taxi while being pursued by police officers.

A police report stated that the 59-year-old taxi driver was plying his white B-15 for hire when around 3.10 p.m., he picked up two men who were standing in front of KFC in Siparia.
