Questions remain over Coast Guard sailor’s death in Colombia

TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO Coast Guard sailor and leading mechanic Kris Cox is expected to be laid to rest on Wednesday following a funeral service at Allen’s Funeral Home in Arima.
The service is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m., after which his body will be interred at the Valencia Cemetery.
In a statement on Sunday, the Coast Guard said Cox’s remains were returned to Trinidad and Tobago from Colombia on Sunday, following his death while in that country as part of a crew supporting the refit and upgrade of one of the service’s vessels.
