Police are investigating a larceny in Laventille after a man attempting to sell a gaming console was robbed.
Around 3 p.m. on Tuesday, a 28-year-old man went to Rigault Street along the Eastern Main Road to complete a sale of a PlayStation 5 valued at $4,800, arranged with a buyer he met on Facebook.
Upon seeing the console, the suspect grabbed it and ran east along the road. The victim gave chase and caught with the suspect, leading to a brief physical struggle. During the altercation, $3,000 the victim was carrying fell to the ground, which the suspect grabbed before fleeing toward Beetham Gardens.
