Facebook buyer pays $2,700 for 3 large stones

A 20-year-old man from Oropune Gardens, Piarco, was allegedly tricked out of $2,700 after attempting to purchase a Playstation 5 through Facebook Marketplace.
Police said the victim contacted a Facebook account operating under the name “Luke Lewis” on May 4 regarding the purchase of the gaming console.
Investigators said that around 6 p.m. last Thursday the victim met a man at the corner of Park and Charlotte Streets in Port of Spain, near the Republic Bank car park, to complete the transaction.
