The proposed stand-your-ground legislation is comprehensive and also provides for protection in the event a person invites someone into their home and then there’s an imminent threat.

This was stated when Minister of Homeland Security Roger Alexander and attorney Ganesh Saroop fielded questions on the draft law during consultations in Tunapuna on Wednesday night.

A question was raised about a provision which speaks to deadly force being used on a person who lawfully enters someone’s home.
