Independent Senator Michael Simon Victor de la Bastide has commended the Government for introducing home invasion legislation.
However, he yesterday raised concerns about the provision that allows a homeowner to use deadly force.
De la Bastide was contributing to debate on the Home Invasion (Self-Defence and Defence of Property) Bill, 2025, at yesterday’s sitting of the Senate.
