TWO Cascade residents were assaulted and robbed by a group of men while travelling along the Beetham Highway on Saturday.

According to police, around 5.20 p.m., the victims, aged 25 and 23, were proceeding west along the highway when upon reaching near the Lighthouse, they slowed down as a result of traffic.

They were then confronted by five men.
