Two young men were robbed of cash and personal documents after their vehicle broke down along the Beetham Highway in the early hours of Saturday morning.
According to police reports, the victims were travelling west along the highway around 2.34 a.m. in a white Mitsubishi Lancer when they were forced to stop near the Beetham Landfill after a fire began emitting from the vehicle's engine bay.
A short while later, they were approached by two men who announced a robbery.
