Thirty-two-year-old Kim Pablo, a farmer from Karasabai Village, South Pakaraimas, Region Nine (Upper Takutu-Upper Essequibo), was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment for planting a prohibited plant (ganja).
Pablo appeared before Magistrate Omadatt Chandan at the Lethem Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, where he pleaded guilty to the charge when it was read to him.
As such, he was fined $30,000 and sentenced to three years’ imprisonment.
