As Police Commissioner Erla Harewood-Christopher returned to work today, Senior Counsel Pamela Elder condemned as “scandalous” the Police Service Commission’s (PolSC) failure to issue the formal letter confirming that her suspension has been lifted.
The Express contacted Elder by phone to query the status of the letter.
Asked whether Harewood-Christopher could resume her duties without the official correspondence in hand, Elder replied, “I would say most certainly, yes. That is why she went to the building yesterday—because the attorney for the commission unambiguously indicated to the court that a decision was made to lift this suspension.”
