AFTER months of investigations into allegations of misbehaviour in public office against Erla Harewood-Christopher, leading to her arrest and suspension as Police Commissioner earlier this year, the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) last night said there was no evidence to charge her with any offence.
“In this matter, on the evidence, I am of the view that there is no realistic prospect of a conviction for the offence of misbehaviour in public office or for any offence and accordingly it would be legally wrong to proceed further,” said DPP Roger Gaspard, SC, in a statement.
