A contractor was robbed of cash and personal documents shortly after withdrawing money from a bank in Penal on Monday night.
Around 8:20 p.m. the 38-year-old withdrew $3,000 from the fast service unit at First Citizens Bank in Penal. Ten minutes later, while driving along Alley Coco, Penal Rock Road, he slowed down because of poor road conditions.
Police said a white vehicle pulled alongside the victim's car, and a rear passenger pointed what appeared to be a firearm at him, ordering him to stop. A man about 5 feet 8 inches tall and of dark complexion, then got out of the vehicle, announced a robbery, and demanded his wallet.
