The father of slain courier Joshua Samaroo yesterday welcomed news that criminal charges are expected to be laid against several police officers involved in the January 20 shooting that left his son dead and his common-law wife, Kaia Sealy, paralysed.
Speaking after Commissioner of Police Allister Guevarro disclosed that the Director of Public Prosecutions had directed investigators to proceed with criminal charges, Christopher Samaroo said he finally felt justice may be within reach for his family.
“It’s great news to realise that justice is not going to fail us. I have confidence in what is going to take place,” he said.
