What was supposed to be a sweet online deal for a PlayStation 5 turned into a bitter box of stones for a Penal man on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old victim arranged to meet a seller he contacted via Facebook Marketplace to buy a used gaming console for $3,000. But instead of the prized PS5, all he got was a box packed with rocks.
According to police, the transaction took place around 9:45 a.m. on Park Street, Port of Spain, near Republic Bank. Sooklal met a man who introduced himself as Jaiden Joseph and provided a phone contact.
