Officers of the Central Police Station are investigating a series of robberies that occurred along Charlotte Street on Wednesday.
Around 8:10 a.m., a woman walking into her workplace, Paint Depot at the corner of Duke and Charlotte Street, reported that a man of African descent, slim-built with short afro hair, wearing a black T-shirt, black long pants, and slippers, snatched her gold chain with a heart-shaped pendant, valued at $8,000. The suspect fled along Charlotte Street.
At approximately 1p.m., an Arima woman was walking south along Charlotte Street near KFC when a slim-built man of African descent, dressed in a striped T-shirt and blue ¾ jeans, snatched her gold chain valued at $2,400.
