Police are investigating the disappearance of a service firearm belonging to a Special Reserve Police officer after he lost consciousness while driving in Tunapuna last week.

The officer, 46, of D’Abadie, who is stationed at the Santa Cruz Police Station, reported the incident to police on Friday.

According to police, shortly after 12.35 p.m., officers responded to information received from the Tunapuna Police Station and proceeded to Bazzard Road, Monte Grande, a dead-end street, where a blue Nissan Almera was found partially off the roadway.
