Police are investigating the theft of a service-issued firearm after a prison officer’s vehicle was broken into in Caura on New Year’s Day.
The victim, a 37-year-old Prison Officer I reported that around 12.45 p.m., he parked and secured his car along the roadway leading to Pond 2, Caura, before leaving the area.
When he returned around 3p.m., he discovered that the left front glass of the vehicle had been broken.
