Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar says her Government has kept its promise to regulate the use of fireworks in Trinidad and Tobago.
“The public is only allowed one hour on each public holiday between specific times to use fireworks, which works out to 16 hours. Therefore, for the other 8,644 hours of the year they cannot do so,” Persad-Bissessar said in response to questions from the Express yesterday.
The Summary Offences (Amendment) Bill, 2025, will be debated in Parliament today.
