The Summary Offences (Amendment) Bill, 2025, which seeks to regulate the use of fireworks, was passed in Parliament last night with full Opposition support.
A total of 38 members voted in favour of the bill, including the 11 Opposition MPs present.
Two Opposition members —Camille Robinson-Regis and Colm Imbert—were absent.
