A Trinidad woman vacationing in Tobago was startled awake early Tuesday when a burglar entered her bedroom and escaped with her valuables.
Police said around 12:20 a.m., a 47-year-old hairdresser of Diego Martin, was asleep at Island Palms Villa, John Gorman Trace, Bon Accord, when she heard a noise and saw a man leaving her room with her pink backpack. The bag contained cash in local and U.S. currency, bank cards, and identification documents.
The intruder, described as about 5’6” tall and slim-built, fled the scene. Investigators later found a window on the side of the villa had been forced open.
