A 49-year-old teacher was robbed at cutlass-point inside her Chaguanas home during the early hours of Saturday after an intruder entered the house while she slept.
Police said the woman had secured her residence along Ninth Avenue, Orchard Gardens, at about 9 p.m. on Thursday before retiring to bed.
At about 3 a.m. on Friday, she was awakened by unusual noises coming from inside her bedroom. On checking, she was confronted by a dark man, about 5 feet 6 inches tall, wearing dark-coloured clothing, a ski mask and gloves, and armed with a cutlass.
