Police in Caroni are investigating a house breaking and theft at a Kelly Village residence after a housekeeper encountered a suspect inside the home.

Around 7:15 a.m. on Thursday, the homeowner secured her duplex townhouse before leaving for work. Around 9 a.m., the housekeeper entered the home to perform her regular chores and discovered a pried window downstairs.

While checking the upstairs area, she found the master bedroom door open and the lights on. As she entered the room, she felt the door pushed against her and spotted a suspect exiting the bedroom and fleeing downstairs.
