Businessman shot dead at Mowasie Landing

A 33-year-old businessman was on Thursday evening shot dead at Mowasie Landing, Region Eight (Potaro-Siparuni) thus prompting a police probe.
Dead is Godfrey Gill also called “Chucky”, of Mowasie Backdam.
Police stated that Gill was in the vicinity of a shop at Mowasie Landing when a loud explosion was reportedly heard. He was subsequently discovered lying motionless on the ground, after which an alarm was raised and the matter was reported to the Police.
