A Cunupia couple was robbed at gunpoint early Tuesday morning, and their vehicle was stolen, police reported.
The couple told investigators that around 3 a.m., they stopped their silver 2021 Honda City, registration PEB 4041, along Pinto Main Road near Trainline to check a tyre. While the husband exited the car, two masked men with firearms approached.
The suspects forced the husband into the back seat, while one of the men drove the car to Sellier Road, Wallerfield, Arima, where the couple was robbed of a Xiaomi cellphone and an iPhone 13. The criminals then fled along the Eastern Main Road with the vehicle, valued at $180,000.
