The Galleons Passage departed Trinidad yesterday for Venezuela with 300 pallets of relief supplies, according to Minister of Works and Infrastructure Jearlean John.
Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar, upon her return from the Caricom meeting in St Lucia on Wednesday night, viewed the supplies on board the Galleons Passage.
In a telephone interview with the Express yesterday, John commended the Prime Minister for taking the lead and immediately mobilising support from Trinidad and Tobago.
