The Venezue­lan Em­bassy in T&T con­tin­ues to urge con­cerned cit­i­zens and in­di­vid­u­als to sup­port its re­lief dri­ve, fol­low­ing the Galleon’s Pas­sage ar­rival in Venezuela last Fri­day with hu­man­i­tar­i­an aid for that coun­try’s earth­quake-hit vic­tims.

Ac­cord­ing to a state­ment from the Venezue­lan Em­bassy in T&T, Venezue­lan Am­bas­sador Al­varo Sanchez Cordero last Fri­day ex­pressed pro­found grat­i­tude for T&T’s sig­nif­i­cant demon­stra­tion of sol­i­dar­i­ty via the hu­man­i­tar­i­an aid, which was dis­patched as soon as it ar­rived.

The ves­sel ar­rived last Fri­day af­ter leav­ing the Point Lisas De­vel­op­ment Port bound for the Port of La Guaira, one of the hard­est hit ar­eas in the June 24 twin earth­quakes.
