Woman robbed of $129,000 in Port of Spain handbag snatch

A WOMAN was robbed of $129,000 in cash and other valuables during a handbag snatching in Port of Spain on Thursday.

Police said around 12.40 p.m. the woman was walking near Chacon Street and Independence Square North when she felt a pull on her shoulder.

She realised a man behind her had snatched her one-strap Tommy Hilfiger handbag.
