TTPS Warns Public Against Unauthorised ‘Walk For Peace’ During State Of Emergency

No approval has been granted for a proposed “Walk for Peace” scheduled to take place in Port of Spain this afternoon.
According to the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), no authorisation has been issued for any public march or procession linked to the event. Police warned that participation in an unauthorised march along public roadways could constitute a breach of laws and regulations currently in force under the ongoing State of Emergency.
The warning follows the circulation of a social media flyer promoting the event, which is expected to begin at 3pm on Wednesday.
