Protesters gathered yesterday outside the Police Administration Building in Port of Spain in support of Kaia Sealy yesterday even though they had not made an application to the Commissioner of Police for the demonstration.
Senior Superintendent Raymond Thom confirmed that no application had been received for the action.
The country is currently under a state of emergency (SoE). When contacted yesterday, DCP Suzette Martin said people gathering in small numbers without disrupting traffic were not breaking the law.
