The proposed Walk for Peace will go ahead today despite a caution from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS), according to the organiser of the event, who maintains that it is a peaceful initiative and not a protest against the Government.
The walk is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. at Piccadilly Street and proceed to Woodford Square, Port of Spain.
The Peace Foundation TT said its planned walk will continue despite concerns raised by the TTPS, arguing that the event is neither a protest nor an attempt to disrupt public order or breach any laws.
