Peace Foundation defies TTPS warning: Walk for Peace to proceed

The Peace Foundation TT has insisted that its proposed “Walk for Peace” in Port of Spain remains on, despite a warning from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) that no authorisation has been granted for the event under current State of Emergency regulations.
In an official response issued on Wednesday, the organisation said its initiative was organised with the sole purpose of promoting peace, unity, love and an end to violence in communities across the country.
“Peace Foundation TT acknowledges the concerns raised by the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service regarding the proposed Walk for Peace,” the group said.
