The home of a pundit was broken into and TT$8,000 and US$2,500 stolen from his bedroom.
Officers went to the El Socorro home of the pundit on Tuesday, following a report of house breaking and larceny. He told then that around 4.45 p.m. he had secured his home by locking all doors and windows and left. He returned five hours later and found a window open and the burglar proof pried open. He also discovered TT$8,000 and US$2,500 missing from a wardrobe in his bedroom.
The scene was processed by officers of the North Eastern CSI Unit. Camera footage was expected to be handed over and a statement was due to be recorded from the victim.
