Police are investigating a house breaking and larceny at a residence in California, Couva, after items valued at more than $4,000 were stolen while the homeowner was away.
Police said the 64-year-old man, an estate constable of Sanford Street West, secured his home by locking all doors and windows at about 8 a.m. on December 20 before leaving the premises.
When he returned at about 4 p.m. the same day, he discovered that the back door on the northern side of the house had been broken down.
